The 5 fluorescent colours neon yellow, orange, pink, blue and green are intensely luminous colours in the typical neon style. They can be painted like all water colours and can be mixed and matched with all AKADEMIE® Aquarell and HORADAM® AQUARELL colours.

As the lightfastness of the colours cannot be qualified as very high due to the fluorescent pigments (no stars) and the pigments are consumed over time, the following points should be taken into account: While fluorescence can remain stable for several years inside closed rooms, it decreases significantly faster under direct sunlight. Therefore, paints with effects should not be exposed to direct sunlight if possible. Ideally, the transparent layer of fluorescent watercolour should be given a final protective treatment and/or, even more effectively, framed under museum glass.
