All animal fibres, such as wool or silk, can be dyed with Dupont Classic H dyes. You will love the intense and resistant colours of your garments or scarves. They are not afraid of light or washing.
When the colour is applied to the fabric, it is diffused until the liquid is used up.
As the dye penetrates the fibre, there is no reverse or front. The colour is uniform throughout the silk. Once the achievement is painted, you can fix the colour in the steamer or in the microwave.
These dyes are used in many techniques, from gouache to batik and saline watercolour.

How to use H Dupont classic dyes as silk paints?
Prepare your colours. Thin them if necessary with H Dupont auxiliaries. These should be chosen according to the technique to be used.
You can also use pure colours.
The silk must be clean and free of residue. Be careful because silk paint will smudge on its own as long as you leave room for it.
How to use classic H Dupont dyes as colourants?
Prepare your dye bath with water. Add 1 to 5% white vinegar. Depending on the desired degree of intensity or the amount of fabric to be dyed, vary the amount of Classic dye between 0.5 and 15%.
How to steam the classic H Dupont dyes?
Once your achievement is dry to the touch, place it between two pieces of fixing paper. Then wrap this paper around the cardboard roll.
Pour distilled water into the container provided. When the roll is ready, put it into the vaporiser.
How to fix the Dupont classic in the microwave steamer?
Place a container with a little water in your microwave. Next to it, place your dry realisation.
Microwave for 2 minutes, then let stand for one minute in the air. Microwave a second time for 2 minutes.
Clean your utensils with water.
Once set, your dye hardly bleeds, even during the first wash!
